About
Welcome! My name is Brienne Thibodeau and I have been teaching kindergarten since 2013. While this is my first year in Lexington, I have taught K for six years in Melrose. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education & Psychology and a Master's degree in Early Childhood & ESL, both from Wheelock College. This year, I am also finishing my CAGS in Educational Leadership with Salem State. I am licensed to teach PreK-2 and ESL K-6 but my heart is in kindergarten! I have a passion for social-emotional learning and strive to keep my classroom full of developmentally appropriate practices within today's rigorous academic context.
When I'm not in the classroom, you're likely to find me in a yoga studio, baking something sweet, or spending time outdoors. I love reading, and will always have a place in my heart for Harry Potter and Nancy Drew. Country music is my favorite and the highlight of my summer is always seeing Kenny Chesney in concert. I love Starbucks, my favorite color is purple, I can never resist dark chocolate, and summer is my favorite season.
Email is the fastest way to get in touch with me. You can reach me at: [email protected] or follow me on twitter @MsThibodeauKT.
